FAQs from People in Transition

Can I use my professional development funds for this yoga teacher training?

Many, but not all, schools have approved PD funds for our program. Some schools have covered partial tuition, and some have covered the entire cost. We provide all necessary documentation for your administration, including detailed curriculum, educational objectives, and professional application statements.

How can I integrate yoga into my classroom if our school doesn't have a yoga program?

There are many ways to incorporate yoga principles without calling it a formal "yoga program." Breath and mindfulness practices are easy to bring into the classroom, as is desk yoga, regardless of the age of your students. All these techniques help students focus. We'll talk specifically about classroom integration, as we typically have many educators (K through college) enroll.

Will this training help me manage classroom stress and prevent burnout?

Yes. As teachers, you're used to giving until you can't give anymore. This training is designed to help you manage the stress that is so prevalent in the classroom through specific evidence-backed strategies and protocols. You'll learn sustainable energy practices that can extend your teaching career while improving your daily well-being.

Do I need extensive yoga experience before enrolling?

No. You don't need to have much experience at all. As a teacher, you'll be learning a very different approach to yoga, which means that what you'll be learning will be new to you, even if you have years of experience as a student. The intensive program moves quickly, so you need to be ready to fully engage, but the most important qualities are curiosity, dedication, and willingness to learn.

How much time commitment is required outside of training hours?

I know how precious your summers are. You truly need that time to restore the classroom setup and curriculum development, which comes quickly. The program is designed to be immersive but manageable within the month's timeframe. And, it will help to restore you even though it is an intense month.
